Peru RUC lookup API with SUNAT data
You need to look up RUC numbers from your billing system, ERP or online store, without downloading and maintaining the SUNAT registry. consultaruc exposes that registry as a REST API: you send the RUC and get JSON back.
What it returns
A GET /ruc/{id} request returns, for the requested RUC:
- legal name;
- taxpayer status and address condition;
- registered address, with ubigeo, district, province and department (for RUCs starting with
20); - whether it is listed as an IGV withholding agent.
Data comes from the SUNAT reduced registry, as published. See every field in the GET /ruc/{id} reference.

What data does the API return?
Legal name, taxpayer status and condition, registered address with ubigeo, district, province and department, and whether the RUC is listed as an IGV withholding agent.
Where does the data come from?
From the reduced registry published by SUNAT. It is returned as published, without completing abbreviated texts.
How do I authenticate?
With an API key in the Authorization: Bearer header. You create it in your account and it is shown only once.
How much does a lookup cost?
Each lookup consumes 1 credit. The Free plan includes 350 credits per month; paid plans start at S/10 per month.
