Terms of service
Notice: this text has not had a formal legal review. A review is recommended before charging for the service.
Last updated: 2026-10-04.
These terms govern the use of consultaruc, karvesol’s Peru RUC lookup API (“the service”). By creating an account or using an API key you accept these terms.
1. The service
The service lets you look up taxpayer data from the reduced registry published by SUNAT through a REST API. consultaruc is an independent service: it is not SUNAT’s and is not affiliated with it.
2. Your account and API keys
- You must provide a valid email and keep your password private.
- The API key is shown only once when you create it. Store it securely: anyone holding it can consume your credits.
- You are responsible for what is done with your keys. If you think a key leaked, revoke it from your account.
3. Credits and plans
- One credit equals one
GET /ruc/{id}lookup.200and404responses consume 1 credit. - Each plan includes a number of credits per cycle. The Free plan has no overage: when it runs out, the API returns
429until the next cycle. On paid plans, extra lookups are billed as overage. - Current prices and credits are on the pricing page. Today only the Free plan is available; when payments open, the site will say so.
- There is no minimum commitment: you can cancel any time.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to overload it, bypass its limits, resell access without prior agreement, or for unlawful purposes. We may limit or suspend an account or key that puts the service at risk or breaches these terms.
5. Data and its accuracy
Data comes from the SUNAT reduced registry and is returned as published, including texts abbreviated or truncated at the source. The registry may lag behind SUNAT’s own system. Before making decisions with legal or tax consequences, check the information against the official source.
6. Availability
The service is provided “as is”. We offer no service level agreement (SLA) nor credits or compensation for outages, although we work to keep it available.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, karvesol is not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from using, or being unable to use, the service, including decisions made with the data looked up.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the current version.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. For questions about them write to consultaruc-legal@karvesol.com.
